Hattie's Echo:

A True Musical?

Why is it called a "true musical?"

Well, because it really happened.

Hattie's Echo is the true story of the trials of pornography addiction and the healing that comes from family and faith.

Synopsis

Joyce’s family has always been “one of those families”—reliable in their church, talented in music and academics, and seemingly incapable of doing wrong. Hattie’s family is far less predictable. Financial instability forces them to relocate every few months, drifting through different churches and communities. Just when they begin to feel settled, they are forced to move. Again.

When Joyce’s father’s recent affair comes to light, the family structure she once relied on begins to crumble under the weight of addiction-driven betrayal. At the same time, Hattie’s family prepares for their biggest and riskiest move yet, forcing her to decide whether four walls, hardwood floors, and a roof are worth what she may have to sacrifice. Although neither girl realizes it yet, each possesses exactly what the other needs to survive this uncharted terrain.

If only they weren’t born 173 years apart.

In this true story of faith, loss, recovery, grief, and connection, the handcart pioneers of 1856 and modern day pioneers of 2014 become intertwined. With Joyce and Hattie at the helm, two families will have to decide if they will remain in the rubble of their disrepair – or answer the transcendent call to “come home.”
